The College of Teachers: Nurturing the Heart of Our School

The College of Teachers is a cornerstone of our school community, working to support its spiritual, pedagogical, and organizational health. Inspired by the ideals of Waldorf education and rooted in anthroposophy, the College of Teachers is a group of faculty members who dedicate themselves to fostering a deep connection to the school’s mission and its guiding principles.

Through meditation, reflection, and collaborative work, the College of Teachers holds the school in its care, offering insight and guidance to support the faculty, administration, and board. It serves as a resource for addressing specific needs, such as teacher development, decision-making, and community well-being, while holding space for the spiritual growth and harmony of the entire school.

The work of the College of Teachers includes nurturing the school’s vision, supporting faculty in their inner development, and creating an intentional space for reflection and dialogue. Whether focusing on a specific area, such as a class, a festival, or a community concern, the College of Teachers approaches its tasks with open-heartedness, deep listening, and a commitment to the greater good.

By tending to the school’s spiritual foundation and holding it in meditative practice, the College of Teachers works to ensure the health, integrity, and vitality of the school. Their dedication and care help sustain the school as a vibrant and supportive community for all.
