City of Fountains School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students from kindergarten through Grade 8. The best candidates for this posititon are flexible, enjoy working with children and have some sort of education experience. Successful candidates will have to undergo a background check.
Responsibilities:
Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.
Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and at playgrounds.

City of Fountains School is searching for a teacher to lead our rising First Grade class for the 2025-2026 school year. Applications are due by March 31st.
The Elementary Grades program meets Monday- Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., August through May.
In addition to Elementary School classes, City of Fountains School also offers parent/toddler classes, kindergarten, 1st-8th grades, specialty subjects classes, and homeschool enrichment - all based upon Waldorf education methods.
Ideal candidates will have Waldorf teacher training, experience working in a Waldorf-inspired classroom or a willingness to expand on their understanding of Waldorf education. (Waldorf training is not required, but familiarity with it is valued; above all, we seek experienced, dedicated, joyful teachers.)
We look to our teachers to have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to plan and augment instruction, and participate in school festivals. We are looking for individuals that are committed to collaborative work with their colleagues and will help nurture the continued growth of our school.

Position Overview:
City of Fountains School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to lead a mixed-grade (6th-8th) P.E. class twice a week for the 2025/2026 school year. This teacher will guide students through a curriculum that supports physical development, teamwork, and an introduction to competitive sports while aligning with Waldorf educational principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging P.E. lessons that develop coordination, strength, endurance, and agility.
Introduce students to competitive sports, fostering skills in strategy, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Encourage personal growth through structured movement activities, cooperative games, and skill-building exercises.
Create a positive and inclusive class environment that supports students of varying athletic abilities.
Teach the importance of physical activity for lifelong health and well-being.
Guide students in developing self-discipline, perseverance, and resilience through movement and sport.
Supervise and ensure student safety during all activities.
Work collaboratively with faculty to integrate physical education with the school’s holistic approach to learning.
Qualifications:
Experience teaching P.E. or coaching middle school-aged students preferred.
Understanding of child development, particularly for ages 11-14.
Familiarity with Waldorf education or a willingness to learn its principles.
Ability to create engaging lessons that balance individual skill development with group activities.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Marketing Director Position
City of Fountains School is seeking a part-time Marketing Director for the 2025-2026 (July 1st - June 30th) school year to develop and execute marketing strategies that highlight our unique Waldorf education. This role focuses on student recruitment, brand promotion, and event marketing while maintaining a flexible schedule (480 hours annually, averaging 40 hours per month).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop marketing campaigns to attract new families and students.
Create engaging content using Canva for events, fundraisers, and promotions.
Manage and grow the school’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram).
Update and maintain the school’s website (Squarespace) with current information.
Design and send bi-monthly newsletters and promotional emails (Flodesk).
Collaborate with staff to promote events and fundraisers effectively.
Qualifications:
Experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
Proficiency in Canva, social media management, and website maintenance.
Strong writing and organizational skills.
