Current employment opportunities

  • City of Fountains School is searching for a Kindergarten Assistant for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

    Our mixed-ages Kindergarten classes include children 3.5 to 6-years old. The children are currently divided into two classrooms, Star Garden and Wind Rose. The program meets Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., September through May.

    This job opening is M-F in the Wind Rose classroom. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

    Ideal candidates will help foster a classroom environment of reverence and loving joy through these qualities:

    • Experience working with young children

    • Helping to maintain a clean and orderly classroom.

    • Strong organizational skills and dependability

    • Helping with each day’s cooking and dishes.

    • Under the direction of the Kindergarten Lead Teacher, working with and caring for children.

    • Assisting during all classroom activities and transitions.

    • Spending a portion of everyday outdoors in all types of weather.

    • Modeling inner capacities such as compassionate listening, gratitude, stillness, warmth and creativity.

    • Honoring the importance of play.

    • A warm and welcoming approach to students and parents

  • City of Fountains School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students from kindergarten through Grade 8. The best candidates for this posititon are flexible, enjoy working with children and have some sort of education experience. Successful candidates will have to undergo a background check.

    Responsibilities:

    • Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.

    • Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.

    • Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.

    • Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and at playgrounds.
