Admissions Process

1. Attend an in-person tour

Upon completing an inquiry, families will be invited to attend an Open House or school tour. (This step is required before submitting an application.)

2. Complete and submit application

After a tour, if there’s continued interest and availability in the program you’d like to enroll your child in, you’ll be invited to create a Parent Portal. Here you will find the application. The non-refundable application fee is $75 (per family).

Some classes may be full or have a wait list. Please contact the School Administrator to inquire about your child’s grade. Additional information about the Waiting Pool can be found below.

3. Interview

Your completed application will be shared with the respective Lead Teacher, who will then reach out to you to schedule a meeting (phone or in-person) to discuss your child’s academic journey.

4. Child visit

If both parties are comfortable to move forward after this conversation, a shadowing visit will be scheduled. This may vary in length depending on the child's age. Children entering the Elementary, Middle School or Enrichment program may be asked to attend for 1-3 shadowing days. Kindergarten students may be invited to join their prospective classes for recess so as not to disrupt the daily rhythm of the class. Families considering the Parent-Child program may be invited to attend one class.

If there are any concerns that show up during the visit, these will be discussed with the Faculty and they will determine if enrolling the student is in their best interest and the class as a whole.

5. Notification

Once the school visits are complete and teachers have communicated with the you and/or the School Administrator about the student’s experience, your child may be invited to join the community. You will receive notification of acceptance via email.

Any inquiries received after a class has reached maximum enrollment will be placed in the wait pool. No child will be added to the wait pool without first successfully completing an inquiry and visiting the school in person (Open House or school tour). Should an opening arise in the class, the wait pool applicant will be contacted.* The child’s name will remain in the wait pool until either:

  • The child is enrolled in a COFS program or

  • An opening is offered and refused

*A wait pool applicant does not have a specific place in the wait pool, but will be offered an available space as determined by the Lead Teacher based on the class composition.
