Faculty Spotlight: Middle School Coordinator
As the MSC, I pour my heart and soul into everything I do to ensure the success of our middle school program. My role is multifaceted, combining teaching and administrative responsibilities. I lead lessons for 5th-8th grade classes, teaching subjects like Cyber Civics, Algebra, and Ancient History. I also ensure that students receive grade-specific lessons and I provide individual support as needed. Additionally, I assist our middle school teachers with projects, class plays, and field trips. When necessary, I step in as a substitute teacher for middle school, ensuring that students’ learning continues uninterrupted when a lead teacher is unavailable.
Beyond the classroom, my role as a coordinator involves providing crucial administrative support to our middle school teachers, helping them navigate the unique challenges of middle school teaching. I serve as a mentor, offering guidance on instruction, deadlines, fundraising, and project management. I collaborate closely with the administrative team, finance department, and marketing to ensure the success of our extracurricular events.
One of the greatest joys of my role is organizing some of our most cherished middle school traditions. From coordinating the 8th-grade graduation ceremony to overseeing yearbook creation and planning class trips, I take great satisfaction in seeing our students thrive beyond the classroom. These experiences are transformative, and I feel privileged to help make them possible.
Every aspect of my position—whether teaching, mentoring, or administering—allows me to contribute to a program that nurtures and supports our students as they navigate these pivotal middle school years. I am deeply passionate about my work and am committed to ensuring that our program meets both the academic and personal growth needs of our students. Knowing that my efforts positively impact our students, families, and the entire school community is incredibly fulfilling.
