A Day of Discovery: Our Friday Enrichment Program
Fridays at City of Fountains School are something special. While the rest of the week follows a steady rhythm of learning in our full-time grades program, Fridays offer a unique opportunity for both our grades students and homeschooling students to come together for a day filled with creativity, movement, and hands-on exploration.
Our Friday Enrichment Program is designed to spark curiosity, nurture imagination, and build meaningful connections. It’s a chance for children to step into a world where learning isn’t just about books and lessons—it’s about experiencing, creating, and moving together in a joyful and engaging way.
A Different Kind of School Day
Imagine starting the day with a warm welcome, helping everyone find their rhythm through movement and song. From there, the day unfolds with engaging lessons, artistic activities, storytelling, and games. Students might be painting, working with clay, learning new games, or practicing balance and coordination through movement exercises.
Every Friday follows a gentle yet structured flow, allowing students to dive deep into hands-on projects while also moving their bodies, working with their hands, and engaging their imaginations. Teachers bring the lessons to life in a way that speaks to the whole child—head, heart, and hands—making learning feel natural, joyful, and deeply meaningful.
A Program for Everyone
One of the most beautiful things about our Enrichment Program is that it serves both our full-time grades students and homeschooling families. It’s a place where children from different learning paths come together, forming friendships and learning from one another. For homeschoolers, it’s a chance to step into a classroom setting once a week, experiencing the rich social and artistic elements of Waldorf Education. For grades students, it’s a day outside the usual rhythm of the week—an opportunity to explore subjects through movement, art, and hands-on discovery.
