First Grade Teacher

City of Fountains School is searching for a class teacher for our 1st Grade class for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Our unique program will work with children who come four days a week (M-Th) to experience main lesson and specialty classes. You will join a dedicated faculty, and will be instrumental in helping to build our small school. Our school offers Parent/ Toddler classes, Kindergarten, 1st-8th Grade, Specialty classes, and mixed Grades homeschool enrichment classes, all based upon Waldorf education methods.

Classroom Assistant

City of Fountains School is searching for a classroom assistant for our 1st-8th grades for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Our unique program will work with children who come four days a week (M-Th) to experience main lessons and specialty classes. An assistant teacher will hold the first grade class daily for a short period of time, and assist the first grade teacher at various parts of the day. The assistant is also a primary substitute for grades 1-8. The assistant day is 6.5 hours, the length of our full school day.

Substitute Teacher – Ongoing

City of Fountains School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students from kindergarten through 8th grade. The best candidates for substitute teacher jobs are flexible, enjoy working with children and have some sort of education experience. Successful candidates will have to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
  • Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
  • Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and at playgrounds.
