Handwork Teacher

City of Fountains school is looking for a qualified Handwork teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. They will be responsible for six (40 minute) periods per week, our schedule for the year has been set. Our grades classes meet four days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The school year runs from Sept. 6, 2022, to May 26, 2023.

Job Description

  • Engage students in a lively, developmentally appropriate Handwork curriculum for 1st-3rd grades. 
  • Plan and deliver movement classes using a variety of Waldorf and non-Waldorf resources, with a goal of improving mind-body connections and fostering the development of social skills.
  • The movement teacher participates in lesson planning and report writing for grades 1st – 5th and collaborates with the lead teachers of those classes.

Movement & Games Teacher

City of Fountains school is looking for a qualified movement teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The Games and Movement Teacher will be responsible for approximately 4-8 (40 minute) periods per week, depending on the applicant’s availability.  This position has teaching hours between 1:20pm – 3pm.

Administrative Assistant

City of Fountains School (COFS) is welcoming applications for an Administrative Assistant for the 2022-23 school year. The right person is compassionate and can help foster an office environment of reverence and loving joy. As an emerging school, we are looking for someone who will be instrumental in helping us continue to develop COFS and nurture a growing, diverse community of life-long learners. 

Job Type: Part-time

The Administrative Assistant provides overall support for the School’s Administrator and is responsible for representing the School’s Administrative office. The position reports directly to the School Administrator on a wide variety of administrative duties, daily operation of the school, short and long term projects and initiatives. The position performs clerical and administrative tasks for the office, compiles and conducts research, and prepares and/or drafts reports and communications for the School Administrator. The Administrative Assistant should be extremely proficient with data-handling and presentation tasks utilizing Google tools or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software. This is a 9.5-month position beginning August 15th, 2022 and requires the ability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00-3:00. Aug. 15, 2022, to May 26, 2023.

Substitute Teacher – Ongoing

City of Fountains School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students from kindergarten through 8th grade. The best candidates for substitute teacher jobs are flexible, enjoy working with children and have some sort of education experience. Successful candidates will have to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
  • Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
  • Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and at playgrounds.
